Keynote Speaker

Rev. Cynthia Park, PhD, LPC is a Hebrew scholar, licensed therapist, and Episcopal priest working in parish ministry in Northern Georgia. As a therapist, she employs cognitive behaviorism to help individuals change behavior patterns by changing their thought processes.

She completed her PhD in Semitic languages and literature. The focus of her dissertation was the contribution of religious rituals to preserving Judiasm during the Babylonian Exile. Her ongoing research focuses on the post-exilic book of Ruth, in particular the blessing scene in the final chapter.

Dr. Park has served on the NBSI Board of Directors and participates in the NBSI Scholars' Seminar.

At the heart of her research and practice is her love for the story of God and the countless ways that our engagement with this sacred story continues to shape our world.
