This interactive session will address children, their spiritual formation, and the principles that work best with children. Performing a biblical story impacts the storyteller much more deeply and for much longer than those who have watched it, therefore a text that a child has internalized and shared with others will stay with them for a long time. We know that children learn best through story and even better through storytelling. This workshop will involve the multiple intelligences and give you some:
activities to do with children of all ages when teaching them to be storytellers
examples of using video recordings to reinforce the process
different ways to involve them in the story, i.e., asking them “wonder” questions
inspiration to go beyond just telling the stories to children….and move them into telling the story themselves
