Janet and Jim Stahl will present a workshop to help people prepare for telling poetry, a non-narrative genre. In this online workshop, we will listen to Psalm 8 performed and explore how the psalm impacts us as audience and performers.
We will also look at the possible intent of the author in composing this psalm and what type of psalm it is.
Through our shared experience with Psalm 8, we hope to discover oral, rhetorical, and stylistic features and structures that create audience impact, aids memory, and informs the way we perform it.
